  Lane Smith, DVM

Dr. Smith earned a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Animal Science from Tarleton State University. He earned his DVM at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. His passion is to keep your pet healthy and happy. He spends leisure time with his wife Jennifer, his daughter McKenna and son Braden, and his Golden Retriever puppy, Miss Annabelle. Dr. Smith is the brother of Dr. Linda Shedd.

  Linda Shedd, DVM

Dr. Shedd obtained her B.S. at the University of Texas at San Antonio and earned her DVM from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Her favorite part of working here is the family-oriented environment. Dr. Shedd is the mother of triplets-Davis, Ethan, and Ella-and their younger brother Daniel. Dr. Shedd is partial to French Bulldogs, and has two, Frenchy & Collette. She is the sister of Dr. Lane Smith.

  Tamara Malasenco, Practice Manager

Tamara was born and reared in San Antonio before her family relocated to the former Soviet Union in 1993 as missionaries. She obtained a seminary education overseas and taught English as a foreign language. She is married to a Russian medical doctor and has a son named Daniel. Tamara and her family are avid cat lovers and have three of their own: Sylvester, Sunny, and Hammie. Tamara is known around here as the cat whisperer, and opens her home to behaviorally challenged kitties for rehabilitation.

Robin Neill, Receptionist Team Leader

Growing up, Robin had a cat named “Callie” and now has a dog named “Chaos.” She enjoys art and fishing. As a newly-wed she mostly enjoys spending time with her husband, Lance. Going to the beach and spending time with her family are a few of her other favorite pass-times. She loves interacting with pets and has had experience in the veterinary field for more than 9 years.

 Jesus Coronel, Technician ,Team Leader

Jesus graduated from ITT Tech in March, 2011 with a bachelors degree in Information Security Systems & and Associates in Electronics. He is married to wife, Brittany and they have been blessed with a new baby girl Genazai. They also have a 5-year-old daughter, Lala. He has worked in the veterinary field for 5 years. He chooses to work with us because "I love and care for every pet that sets a paw in our clinic". Although he doesn't have any pets of his own, he makes sure every pet here is treated like his own. A fun fact about Jesus is that he likes to work on his '77 Red Firebird,that is acctually Lala's car.

 Letty Vinson, Receptionist

Letty has been in the veterinary field for over 20 years. Her experience and knowledge follows her to her current roll of receptionist. We find that she educates not only our clients but new staff members as well. In addition to being a proud mother of two, she has a full house of four legged children. Adolf, Nachos, Hatsumomo, Chancho and Chalupa keep Lettys home full of love.

 Manuel Sanchez, Kennel Technician

Manuel had a miniature Dalmatian named “Frida” growing up. In his free time he loves running and spending time with family. He would love to visit Spain, France, or South Padre Island someday. In his job he enjoys spending time with all the animals.

 Jenny Holveck, Kennel Technician

Jenny is new to the veterinary filed as of this year. She comes to us with experience from volunteering at the humane society. Her companion and love for animal’s shows every day as she continues to reach her goal of becoming a veterinary technician. Newly engaged Jenny spends most of her free time with family, friends and her cat Thelonious.

 Victor Bazan, Technician

Victor lived on a ranch growing up as a child. The favorite part of job is helping save dogs and cats that arrive in critical condition and bringing them back to health. He has a female calico kitten named “Emma.” His hobbies include hiking, working-out, soccer, watching sports, and are a HUGE Spurs fan. He has 3 children, 17 and 5 year-old boys, and a 16 year-old daughter. He has been a technician in the veterinarian field for about 10 years

 Tara Voelkel, Technician

Tara has been a technician in the veterinary field for the past three years. She commutes to work from her home in the country. Currently studying education with the desire to teach, Tara balances school, work and family gracefully. Although Tara’s many pets are all different sizes and breeds there black and white coloring makes them look like brother and sisters. Penny her newest addition can often be found up at the clinic helping Tara and the techs work.
